Early Childhood

The Family Early Childhood Center at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation is a resource for family education and offers programs for families with children ages birth-5. As we create enjoyable experiences for parents and children, expanding families’ Jewish horizons, we also establish strong personal relationships among participants. We are welcoming and open to congregants and to those in the greater Jewish community. We welcome parents, grandparents and caregivers who participate for the benefit of their children. Most of our programs are free or very affordable; some are ongoing programs like Kinder Shabbat. For more information about our young family programs, contact Julie Sukert, Young Family Engagement Director.

Sunday, December 10 from 9:30-11:00am

Join Sammy Spider, of the favorite Jewish children’s book series, as we enjoy a fun morning for little ones, ages 18 months to 4 years, with an adult. In December, we are joined by music specialist Maggie Wise, for a fun movement and music class. We will also help Sammy learn about and celebrate Hanukkah with a story, special craft and snack. In January, we are joined by “Mr. Chuck” Fink, our popular Kinder Shabbat musician, for a fun music class. Here, we will help Sammy learn about and celebrate Tu B’Shevat with a story, special craft and snack as well. Free. RSVP to Julie Free for synagogue members; FREE! Contact Julie Sukert.
