Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg is the Founder and Global Director of Kids Kicking Cancer (now known as MATIO). "Rabbi G." lost his first child to leukemia. As a black belt and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Wayne State University School of Medicine, he saw the therapeutic benefit of martial arts and created Kids Kicking Cancer, an international program of pain and stress mediation that teaches martial arts breathing and empowerment focus. The program currently provides evidence-based therapy to children in over 125 hospitals and facilities in ten countries. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the nation's highest award in community public health, the Robert Woods Johnson Community Health Leaders Award.  Hybrid.
