24TH ANNUAL SHEILA RADMAN BALK
CHOLENT COOK-OFF
(Brought to you by the B'nai Jeshurun Men's Club)
The Cholent Cook-Off is FREE, but we ask that everyone register, so we have enough seating and food for all! Donations are appreciated.
It’s time to get ready for the longest running Cholent Cook-Off in existence, which follows our Men’s Club Shabbat.
(If you would like a part in the Men’s Club Shabbat service, (English or Hebrew), Contact David Cohen at the Men's Club email: BJCmensclub@bnaijeshurun.org.)
BJC members and guests are invited to enjoy an array of superbly cooked cholents. Our talented and diverse group of chefs/teams prepare a wide range of cholents from traditional, to vegetarian and vegan, European and Mizrachi and fusion. It is a taste experience unlike any other.
This event can be enjoyed in several ways: one can eat and socialize, eat and vote to decide prize winners, or one can lead or participate in a team preparing one of the cholents and one can simply volunteer to help serving the cholent. Entrants follow their own recipes; we provide your ingredients. Team up with family or friends!
If you are interested in cooking and/or would like to volunteer during the prep days or the day of the event, contact Richard Berkowitz at the Men's Club email : BJCmensclub@bnaijeshurun.org.
