Andre grew up in Los Angeles. He was raised in a Lutheran/Baptist family but challenging experiences as a teenager led him on a quest for deeper spirituality and he was sparked to explore Judaism, ultimately deciding to convert at the age of 17. “It felt like I was going up the ladder,” he says. “Everything became more and more clear.
