In anticipation of this year’s High Holidays the Jewish Federation of Cleveland/JFC Security, LLC is bringing Jimmy Lev, a world renown Israeli security expert to meet with area synagogues to host a host a training seminar called “The Security Trustee.”  Mr. Lev spent 36 years providing security for the State of Israel in a variety of roles which included securing Israeli Embassies abroad, a position as Senior Security Officer for El Al Airlines, an Air Marshall for all Israeli air lines, and security consultant and lead trainer for Jewish communities around the world which included 4 years as a consultant and direct guidance advisor to the Jewish community in France during multiple terrorist attacks from 2013-2017.  He is credited with providing security training to the Halle, Germany Synagogue prior to the Yom Kippur attack in October 2019, which resulted in the terrorist being denied entry into the building, thereby saving many lives. 

His 90-minute lecture will cover the following topics:

1. The threat- includes several examples of incidents (a case study). 
2. Security principles with an emphasis on facility security (their synagogue), and the issue of operational work.
3. Situation assessment for planning the security of their synagogue (Example- preparation for Tishrei Holidays).
4. The structure and operational of a group of volunteers at the synagogue. 
5. Security volunteer training program. 
6. Practicing emergency situations, basic scenario exercises (depending on the time).
7. Free discussion on any issue related to the promotion of community security (depending on the time).
