for a Chautauqua Getaway
Featuring Frank Oz and Rabbi Bob Alper
Tuesday, July 30
Prepaid Reservation Deadline - July 15
Enjoy a wonderful day away at the Chautauqua Institution! Plan your own day or attend some or all of the scheduled activities. We’ll arrive in time to take in the morning lecture in the newly renovated Amphitheater to hear Frank Oz, Muppet creator and puppeteer and Broadway director, speak about the theme of the week—“What’s Funny?” Then have lunch on your own in one of the quaint cafes or bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy in the park. We’ll meet for the 2 pm program with Rabbi Bob Alper, co-presenter of “The Laugh in Peace Tour,” speaking about “What’s So Funny About Religion?” You will have time after the lecture to see more of Chautauqua on your own before meeting our group for a snack and heading home.
This trip is open to men, women and teens of all ages. While there are shuttle buses on the Chautauqua grounds, please come ready to do plenty of walking.
