Mr. Sztokman will discuss his organization, which is a grassroots response to poverty, malnutrition, ill health, hunger and child labor in India.  

He is a high tech executive turned social entrepreneur.  On a trip to Mumbai in 2011, he was deeply moved to work on issues of poverty and illiteracy.  He believes one of ways to break the cycle of poverty is through education.  He formed GPM in 2012.  Learn more at gabrielprojectmumbai.org.

Penny & Bob Greenberger’s son, Josh (of blessed memory), was in the first group of volunteers the JDC sent to India to work in the Kalwa slums in 2013. Today, the Joshua Jacob Greenberger Learning Center has grown to include 250 children. 

Mr. Sztokman will speak briefly during the service and then provide a more in-depth talk after oneg at 8:30 pm in Nickman Chapel.
