On the night before Passover Jews are obligated to search their homes for hametz. This year, due to Shabbat it will take place on Thursday, March 25. We want our BJC families to experience this tradition together. Therefore, we are providing our members a “bedikat hametz kit" containing all the supplies necessary for the search.

You can pick up your kit anytime during synagogue hours where they will be located inside B'nai Jeshurun on our front table. They will also be available for pick up outside the synagogue on March 21 between 9:15-10:15 am (while supplies last.) Then join us on March 25 with your kit to take part in this mitzvah. We will search through our homes on Zoom for hametz and prepare for Passover together. Please Zoom by phone, tablet or laptop so you can walk around your home with your device. The 6:30 pm bedikat hametz is for families with young children so they are not up late.
